40 acres of grounds surround the house, with a huge flat lawn suitable for a variety of sports. The formal garden is the most recent creation, joining mature trees, azaleas and rhododendrons and extending the flowering season into summer and autumn colour. We look forward to photographing this throughout the year.
The beach. At the west end of the lawn is a large beautiful sandy beach, with an island where kids love to swim from. It is unusual that anyone else is on the beach. The whole bay is a complete playground for all ages.
Our motto is make the most of it, whatever the weather. Easter through to the start of July tends to be driest. In the summer you will experience some glorious days that rival the Caribbean and occasionally a storm blows up and the sea boils in fury. Be flexible in your planning and seize the perfect days to go to the beach and the wet days to drive to Skye or take the Hogwarts train.
